CHARACTERISTICS : It inherited the large leave of the Sasa, the smooth culm of the Phyllostachys. It is more slender and bulkier than a Sasa.

Propagation : Rhizome cutting or clump division.
Needs : Grows well in any condition, particularly drought tolerant and cold hardy.

Maintenance : For pots, provide a healthy and well-drained soil and fertilize twice a year.
