CHARACTERISTICS : Green culm that can have a larger diameter under good conditions. The young creamy colour shoot contrasts with the green of the culms and foliage.

Propagation : Rhizome cutting or clump division.
Needs : Fertile soil which must not be too dry in Summer if a good production of young shoots is to be obtained.
Uses : Hedge, border, solitary clump. Alimentary uses. Suitable for pots and jardinières
Maintenance : For pots, provide a healthy and well-drained soil and fertilize twice a year. Does not like waterlogged soils.
