CHARACTERISTICS : Upright growth habit. Dark green culms becoming a pale yellow-green with age and exposure. A large diameter for a medium bamboo. This is a medium sized-bamboo with a large diameter similar to a giant bamboo.

Propagation : Rhizome cutting or clump division.
Needs : Adapts well to all types of soils (seafront).
