CHARACTERISTICS : Vertical growth habit. Upright dark green culms that turn a shade of purple as they grow older in the Autumn. From the base to the top of the culm, the foliage is dense and supple.

Ø of culms: 30 to 70 mm
Propagation : Rhizome cutting or clump division.
Needs : Adapts well to any situation, however the culm turns purple only when exposed to sunlight.
Uses : Hedge, windbreak, solitary clump, screen. Alimentary uses. Suitable for jardinières.
Maintenance : For pots, provide a healthy and well-drained soil and fertilize twice a year.
