Origin : Japan
CHARACTERISTICS : The only ‘palmatum’ that has a thin lacy leaf comparable to ‘dissectum’. In Spring and Summer, its foliage is green. It has an orange or purple hue in Autumn depending on the temperatures and sun exposure.

Propagation : Grafting
Needs : Likes moisture and well-drained soils such as leaf mulch. If regularly watered, can be placed in full sun.
Uses : In ground: isolated specimen, suitable for pots. Protect from wind.
Maintenance : This variety produces a little blackened dead wood in Winter and it is therefore recommended to prune in February.
