CHARACTERISTICS : The young leaves are a deep red in the Spring darkening in the Summer. From Autumn, they turn red again. One of the most diffused varieties in Europe.

Propagation : Grafting
Needs : Likes moisture and well-drained soils such as leaf mulch. If regularly watered in the Summer, can be placed in full sun. Protect from wind.
Uses : In ground: isolated specimen, suitable for pots.
Maintenance : This variety has a tendency to develop big branches. To keep the symmetry, pruning in February is recommended.
